Details:The mission of the ARKANSAS LIVESTOCK SHOW ASSOCIATION is to:
•Inform and educate about the Association’s heritage and its 501(c)not-for-profit status
•Conduct the annual Arkansas State Fair
•Operate the Arkansas State Fair Complex providing facilities for year round use
•Support youth and youth programs and development
•Provide educational opportunities focusing on agriculture, livestock and technology
The mission of the ARKANSAS STATE FAIR is to:
•Have an annual family oriented event offering a variety of entertainment and educational opportunities for all ages in a safe and clean environment
•Showcase Arkansas with a focus on agriculture, livestock, the arts, and technology
•Promote youth and youth development

2nd Annual Little Rock Bacon Fest at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds to support the Arkansas State Fair Scholarship Program. Bacon Fest will include a 5K bacon themed run in the morning, bacon themed cooking contests, a bacon eating contest, vendor booths, kids zone, live music and lots of unique bacon concession items!

The Arkansas State Fair and the Arkansas Livestock Show Association welcome County and District Fair Queens from around the State. The crowning of the Arkansas State Fair Queen is the culmination of a five day event held during the State Fair beginning on Monday, no competition on Friday, and ending on Saturday. All events take place in the Arkansas Building southwest of the Coliseum. Three winners will be chosen from each of the four Regional Contests held Monday through Thursday. Each Regional winner will receive a trophy and the right to return to the Finals on Saturday evening. At the Finals Contest the Five runners-up will receive plaques. A special “Top Interview Award” will be presented to the finalist with the highest interview score. The Winner will Receive a 4 year Scholarship to SAU. The Arkansas State Fair and Arkansas Livestock Show Association welcome contestants from around the state to compete for the title of Arkansas State Fair Rodeo Queen. Judging is based on appearance, personality and horsemanship. This fun and entertaining two day event brings beauty and charm, and is the highlight of the Rodeo on Saturday night when the 2014 Arkansas State Fair Rodeo Queen is crowned.
